Makhmur Frontline - Kurdistan, Iraq
Kurdistan is an autonomous region in Iraq with some curtain rights. Kurds have their own parliament, president and army, but the wished total independence is not achieved yet. The 120 kilometers long, 3-6 km wide borderline between Kurdistan and Iraq is used by the remained ISIS groups as a corridor to hide and move alongside the two territories. Despite this no man’s land is well-guarded by Peshmergas and Iraqi Forces, ISIS troops use it in bad weather and low visibility conditions when U.S. army can’t send aircraft support. Regarding Kurds’ opinion Islamic State is not eliminated, they still trying to gather fighters to strengthen and continue their holy war.
